From the Host

When we get questions about traveling Jeju or any other inquiries, we add ‘I wanna be your JOY’ at the end of the email. This is to show our hope for the guests to enjoy their time in Jeju. We’ve been living in Jeju for a few years, but we still go around places with our kids and friends when we have time. I first fell in love with Jeju because it was so different from my hometown, Busan. You might think the island could get boring by now, but I always see different sides of Jeju that I hadn’t seen before and I am always captivated by its wonderful natural landscape.

Clean and fresh! Perfect for families and female travelers

You will find Mint Guest House right next to the SUM Guest House, like a good old friend. However the link between the two goes deeper than just the location.
Although the two guesthouses share different names, you could say Mint is SUM’s partner. After 3 Busan guys got together to open SUM, their wives decided to do the same with the adjoining property. That’s how the lovely looking Mint was born, one short year after SUM opened. While SUM reveals straight forward, square shape construction (just like three blunt Busan boys), Mint, on the left, looks like it is leaning gently over SUM and is very feminine from the outside.

A distinct woman’s touch is also evident throughout. The guest house has two floors and each floor has an independent powder room that emits freshness with its calming green hue. From a hair dryer and cotton balls to Q-tips and curlers, the powder room fulfills every little detail of what a woman needs. You won’t have to worry, even if you forgot to bring something, as Mint has everything provided for you.

There’s even a comfy couch in the shared living room, a perfect spot for you to laze around after a long day of travel.

Should you ever get bored at night, you could make a reservation for a dinner party at the front desk over at SUM Guest House. They are happy to include guests of Mint and run the party once the list is full. It’s a great way to mingle with other guests, especially if you are a sole traveler.
At the shared café, you can also find a Jeju travel guidebook and cute items such as a Jeju Passport, where you can stamp the places you have visited in Jeju. You will never run out of things to enjoy at Mint!
