Beritne Oreum (베릿내오름), where Cheonjeyeon Falls and Deep Valley...
The oreum trail connects from the convention center, which is about 2 km away from “Penguin Road” guesthouse on foot. You can enjoy the plants and flowers along the way, as well as the beautiful scenery of the mountains and the ocean. When you get to Daepo Coast Jisakke, your walk to Jusangjeolli Cliff is just pure heaven all the way.

It’s known as Seong-cheon (stream), meaning milky way stream that goes through the deep valley of Cheonjeyeon Waterfalls. The word, Baerinnae, means stream that the star light reflecting. Jungmun village holds a New Year sunrise event almost every year at this oreum. The event begins at 6:30 am with music from a Pungmul band playing traditional instruments and dancing. Then the local villagers and participants hike up to the top of the Oreum to see the first sunrise of the year and have special breakfast afterwards. The traditional breakfast will be provided free of charge. This would be a perfect opportunity for you to fully enjoy the culture of Jeju Island. More details on Jeju Oreums.
