Slowcity Guest House

From the Host

We provide individual tours, as well as our one day group tour. You can choose different times including 3 hours, 5 hours, and 7 hours depending on your desire. The tour course includes going to places that not even many Koreans know about, so if you participate in the tour going to both east and west, you will know that much more about Jeju.

Meet tourists from far and wide, on Jeju’s inside tour program

What is it about this volcanic island that draws people like a magnet?
Anyone who has planned a trip to Jeju, has probably asked this very question.
If you stay at Slow City Guest House, you can soon find out what draws people to Jeju, through joining the one day tour this guest house offers every day. The tour program is not pre-planned, but rather guests have the opportunity to choose the places they would most like to visit. The tour is divided between the directions of Udo Island and Seongsan Ilchulbong in the east, and Aewol in the west.

Slow City’s tour bus does not take the typical route most other tour buses take. The manager, who is a Jeju native, will guide you through different streets and alleyways, and provide you with explanations that regular travelers miss. This tour is more enriching than some of the typical tours where you visit mainstream sites, stopping only to take pictures.

Seogwipo Everyday Olle Market, about a 2 minute walk from the guest house, is definitely worth a visit. Here not only can you taste the traditional Omegi rice cake, but you can see how they are made as well.

Slow City also tends to have a lot of foreign guests, which distinguishes it from other guesthouses.
However, among all of the amazing features this guest house provides, Slow City’s biggest draw is probably its cleanliness. Slow City was remodeled from an old house, like many other guesthouses in Seogwipo City, but both the inside and exterior look very clean and newly built. The guestrooms may be a little small, but the cleanliness and comfort will be appreciated.
Slow City also rents out smartphones to the guests, useful for searching for information and maps, but the manager also makes sure that you don’t get lost! You will find your experience here nothing but convenient, even if you are a foreign guest and do not know the language.
