Where to Stay

Gotta get a comfy night's sleep before you take on that hike tomorrow!

Guest House “Moon House”

Room Views
From the Host

There are many places on the east side of Jeju that are not well known yet. There are famous places like Udo Island and Seongsan to enjoy the sunrise, but if you walk about 30 minutes more to the north of Moonhouse, you will find Hado Beach where the residents enjoy the migrant birds. Jeju Olle Trail course 1 is also amazing. 3 days will fly by if you just take a look around Olle course 1 and 21, along with Udo Island and Seongsan.

A spring platform where excitement and joy meet~~

Jimibong is a small oreum located 165m above sea level. When you hike up early in the morning, you will be greeted by a panorama of high and low oreums with the Seongsan sunrise in the background. At night, you can have all the stars and beautiful moonlight to yourself.
Just as the name describes, Moonhouse Guest House shines even brighter at night when a luminous, yellow moon shines down from the night sky. Guests who return from their day can gather in Love Room (a shared lounge) and share their stories of the day. Everyone may have just met but soon the awkward atmosphere disappears and the conversation varies from life to philosophy.

There’s no loud, crowded BBQ parties at Moonhouse, but once the story times starts with a cup of Jeju makgeolli, a guest is soon filled with heartwarming and unforgettable Jeju memories.

This is why Moonhouse is such a comfortable place. Moonhouse is an old house and there are areas that need to be used with more care, but the host of the guest house can fix just about anything. The host gained a lot of experience making things such as decking, desks, and beds before moving to Jeju Island from Seoul, and all of these skills come in handy.
“Although I haven’t traveled many places in Jeju, Jongdalri is such an attractive place. You can see the entire town when you hike up Jimibong, and it is so cute to see all the stone wall houses gathered together”
There are 7 to 8 guesthouses in this small town, but Moonhouse is one of the most popular ones with young adults. If you are wondering why, you should definitely go check it out. You’ll be glad you did.
