2020 Jeju Fire Festival (Mar. 13 to Mar. 15) / Canceled due to the ...

List

2020 Jeju Fire Festival, one of the biggest festivals on Jeju, will be held for three days from March 13 to 15 this year!

While the festival will run for three days, the highlight is the burning of Saebyeol Oreum which will place on the second day of the festival.
The festival is rooted in the tradition of burning old grass and killing harmful pests from the fields for cattle and horses between late winter and early spring.

The traditional nomadic culture of Jeju, using horses and cows as the most widely used labor, warding off evil and holding a wish ceremony

on the day of the first full moon of the lunar year
